MDL is a preferred provider for four of the nation's largest insurance organizations -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield, HealthLink, Medicare, and UnitedHealthcare -- and we're affiliated with more than 100 other insurance companies and health management organizations. MDL will bill third party payers directly. Unlike many other labs, we'll also bill secondary insurance companies when the primary insurance carrier doesn't cover all the patient's costs. When calling, please have your insurance card and benefits explanation for reference. Billing department hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Billing is closed on weekends and holidays.
