MDL Laboratory
Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. (MDL) is a full-service, CAP-accredited laboratory with headquarters in Belleville, Illinois, just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis. We also have Patient Service Centers in Maryville and O'Fallon, Illinois. Our company, which now has about 100 employees, has provided clinical and anatomical pathology services since 1985.

MDL accepts most insurance companies. We're a preferred provider for four of the nation's largest insurance organizations -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield, HealthLink, Medicare, and UnitedHealthcare -- and we're affiliated with more than 100 other leading insurance companies and health management organizations. We provide walk-in customers and physicians' patients with faster turnaround times and friendly, personal service. We strive to make the entire experience quicker and more convenient. Unlike many other labs, for example, MDL will bill secondary insurance companies directly when the primary insurance carrier doesn't cover all the costs. We also accept prescriptions, which means MDL won't turn away patients who don't have the requisition forms required by some labs.
